About Us

Why does one joint in the spine get arthritis and not the other? Sometimes these things are due to prior injury and sometimes to lack of symmetry. Our bodies are built to work optimally only when both sides are exactly like the other. When one of our joints loses normal motion, you can bet other parts will be impacted. When the spine isn’t straight or doesn’t have full and equal motion in all direction, your facet joints will wear unevenly. When one leg is shorter or one ankle turns in more, again certain parts will wear out faster. Given how important left-right and front-back symmetry is, it’s amazing more attention isn’t paid to the problem. In order to get well, you must try to reestablish as much normal symmetry as possible.
