MCL Sprain

Also called: Medial collateral ligament injury

Sprain of the ligament on the inner knee, usually from a blow to the outer knee or a valgus twist (ski edges, football contact). Good news: the MCL has excellent blood supply and most grades heal well without surgery through protected motion and progressive loading.
