Low Back & Pelvis

Lumbar Spinal Stenosis

Also called: Narrowing of the low-back nerve canals

Arthritic narrowing of the central canal or nerve-exit canals in the low back, typically after 60. The classic picture: legs that ache, feel heavy, or tingle with standing and walking, relieved by sitting or leaning forward (the 'shopping cart sign'). Highly manageable conservatively in most cases.
