the condition library
100+ conditions, in plain language

Whether a doctor gave you a formal diagnosis or you'd just describe it as “a crick in my neck,” “a pinched nerve,” or “my back went out” — search it in your own words and find it here. Every entry covers what the condition is, what to do first, warning signs that need urgent care, the path when it's become chronic, and the natural healing options we use every day, for every age.

Please read: this library is education, not a diagnosis. Bodies are individual; a proper examination is how a condition gets confirmed and a plan gets built. If anything in a "seek help now" section matches your situation, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency room first.

just got a diagnosis? start here — how to work through any of them›

Every condition in this library has its own path, but the way through any diagnosis is the same seven moves. This is how we approach every case that walks in, from newborns to great-grandparents:

  1. Make sure the name is right. A diagnosis is a starting hypothesis, not a verdict. A proper exam — history, movement testing, orthopedic and neurological checks — confirms it, refines it, or replaces it. Half the battle is treating the right thing.
  2. Clear the red flags first. Open your condition below and read its "seek help now" section before anything else. Those signs are rare, but they outrank every other step on this page. When one matches, emergency care comes first and everything else waits.
  3. Understand what's actually happening. Fear grows in vague language — "bone on bone," "slipped disc," "pinched nerve." Read your condition's overview until you can explain it to a friend in one sentence. Understanding is the first treatment: pain science shows that what you believe about your body changes what you feel in it.
  4. Calm it before you fix it. Nearly every plan starts the same way: modify (don't eliminate) the aggravating load, keep everything else moving, and use the gentle tools — heat or ice, easy range of motion, breath, sleep. Total rest is almost never the answer; smart movement almost always is.
  5. Build the comeback, gradually. Tissue heals by being asked to do slightly more than yesterday — that's what progressive care is, whether it's chiropractic correction, targeted strengthening, or therapy layered together. Consistency beats intensity: small daily doses outperform heroic weekends, every time.
  6. Track something real. Pick one measure — how far you can walk, how long you can sit, how deep you can squat, mornings per week you wake stiff — and check it monthly, not daily. Healing is noisy day to day and honest month to month.
  7. Escalate on evidence, not fear. If a quality plan runs 6–12 weeks without real change, that's information: the diagnosis gets re-examined, imaging gets considered, other specialists join. Escalation isn't failure — it's the plan working exactly as designed. And through every step, you should always understand the why.

Wherever you are in that sequence, we can help you run it — book a visit or call 469-620-6245.
